Growing up a fan of racing, Liam committed to a career in the industry from a young age.
After graduating from University, Liam went on the revered Darley Flying Start program.
Through his time on the program and after Liam worked in many of the leading businesses of the racing world – trainer's including The Freedman’s at Markdel, Mike De Kock in Dubai, Rob Smerdon at Caulfield and finally at Macedon Lodge.
He has also worked for a leading form company and with Angus Gold on Shadwell’s elite European racing operation.
After serving as the senior assistant for several years, Liam was appointed as the Senior Trainer at Macedon Lodge – where he trained two Group 1 winners, Almandin and Homesman.
In 2021, with a lifetime of experience, it was the perfect time to launch Liam Howley Racing.
